ABOUT US.

THE CURVE is a community for creative minded college students to connect, collaborate, and support one another.

We organize a variety of events, including work sessions for active feedback, group outings to museums, galleries, and local cafes for creative inspiration, art shows to showcase finished pieces, and pop-up shops where students can sell and promote their work.

Why was The Curve created?

Hi, I am Mackenzie Miller, the founder

of THE CURVE. I wanted to create this creative collective because I felt that St. John's was missing it.

While other art clubs exist, I felt that they do not live up to what could be. I wanted to create a space that would fulfill that role. This would include having more events that would give

extra critique on work, group trips

into the city, and more exhibits to show and promote work besides just the BFA show. As a BFA student it was also hard to join other clubs because they always met when I had a studio class, this would work around that. I also felt strongly that the art department could benefit greatly from having a place where we could form more and deeper connections to each other.
